The Diamond DA42 Twin Star is a four-seat, twin-engine, propeller aircraft developed and manufactured by the Austrian company Diamond Aircraft Industries. This was Diamond's first twin-engine design and also the first new European twin-engine aircraft developed in its category in over 25 years.[3] In 2004, the DA42 became the first diesel-powered fixed-wing aircraft to seamlessly cross the North Atlantic.
